This Privacy Policy outlines how Rovial SAS manages your Personal data when you use Rovial SAS website. It also describes which Personal data is held and for what purposes, how Personal data is collected, held, used, and disclosed.

Website: the Rovial website (www.rovial.space).

User: Any natural person who is visiting the Website.

What information do we gather about you?

In the context of the Website usage, Rovial SAS is collecting the following Personal data:

Identification data such as first name, last name, email address.

Professional data such as CV, whether you are an employee of Rovial SAS or not.

IT data such as Website navigation and browsing data: the origin of the navigation, elements of the Website already consulted by the User, etc.; device identifiers (whether the user accesses Rovial website from laptop, or mobile device, etc.), web addresses of previous sites you’ve visited; data from outside sources, including but not limited to social media platforms, search engines etc.

By using the Website, the User declares that he has been informed of the hereby Privacy Policy at the time of the collection.

Concerning the form, the User shall fill in the field “Message” with only Personal data which are strictly necessary to process the request.

What do we do with the information we collect about you?

The purposes of collecting the Personal data are the following:

Administration: we may use your personal data for administrative purposes, including to help us understand our customers, partners, third-party access, and use of the Website, to implement and maintain security, anti-piracy, fraud prevention.

Marketing and communication: under conditions permitted by law and when relevant, we may use your Personal data for marketing purposes to improve user experience with our website, including tailoring our ads on social media to make them more relevant to the user, granting access to the industry reviews and articles generated by Rovial’s experts, collecting our website usage statistics; and for communications purposes, including responding to your requests sent via the Website.

Recruitment: we may use your personal data to ensure that we recruit and select appropriate individuals to work at Rovial SAS.

These processes are based on the User’s consent. The consent is given by (i) checking the box “By submitting this form, I accept that my information will be used exclusively within the framework of my request and the ethical and personalized commercial relationship which could be requested if I wish” for the first two purposes, or (ii) by accepting cookies, in full or in part, through the Cookie banner.

How long do we keep information about you?

We store your personal information for as long as needed, or permitted, based on the reason why we obtained it (consistent with applicable law).

Personal data filled in by the User in the field provided “Message” are conserved until the request is processed.

At the end of this period, Personal data is removed, except in case of legal exception imposing a longer period.

To whom do we disclose or share the information we gather?

The only recipients of the Personal data collected, relating to the Website, are Rovial’s SAS employees specially authorized by the company to process Personal data.

How do we protect your information?

Rovial SAS, as the controller, has set up technical and organizational measures to ensure the respect of Personal data confidentiality and security.

Some examples of measures are document storage security policies; security measures for systems access; only allowing access to Personal data information where the individual seeking access has satisfied Rovial SAS identification requirements; access control for Rovial SAS buildings; use of firewalls and data encryption, User identifiers, passwords or other access codes may also be used to control access to Personal Data.

Employees authorized to process Personal data have been trained and made aware of the Personal data protection by Rovial SAS, to make the process performed with the strictest respect of the Personal data legislation.

What are your rights and choices?

In accordance with the General Data Personal Regulation (European Regulation n°2016/679, “GDPR”), the User can exercise his right of access, of rectification, and under the conditions prescribed by the GDPR article 17,18,20 and 21, the right to erasure, to restriction of Processing, to object and to data portability.

In case of death of the User, and without specific directives of the User or otherwise stated in theses, the heirs can exercise the hereby rights to, in particular, help ROVIAL taking into account the death of the User.

To improve the performance of the Website, Rovial SAS uses:

Essential Cookies

Universal Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics) which are audience measurement trackers used to improve the Website’s quality.

In reference to the article 82 of the 6 January 1978 law “Informatique et liberté” and to the 17 September 2020 CNIL deliberation which is adopting guidelines about “Cookies and other trackers”, these Cookies used by ROVIAL are exempted from User’s consent because they are essential for providing the service expressly asked by the User.

Non-essential Cookies

Those non-essential Cookies are submitted to the User’s consent, given or not when he is entering the website. The User can accept all the non-essential Cookies, decline all, or enter the “Cookies settings” option for more information about the purposes of the non-essential Cookies and accept them or not on a case-by-case basis. The User can withdraw his consent at any time.

Especially for LinkedIn Insight Tag, the functioning of this Cookie led Rovial SAS to transfer Personal data from its website to LinkedIn. The user is invited to review the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy of LinkedIn.

Those Cookies have a life duration restricted to a thirteen (13) month period. Collected data by this mean are conserved for twenty-five (25) months at most.

What is our legal basis?

Rovial SAS collecting Personal data based on several legal basis including personal consent.

How are changes to this Privacy Policy communicated?

If Rovial SAS changes the Privacy Policy and/or procedures, Rovial SAS will post those changes on the Website to keep the User aware of what information Rovial SAS collects, how Rovial SAS uses it, and under what circumstances Rovial SAS may disclose it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted. In some cases, Rovial SAS may also notify the User (via email) of such changes, at Rovial SAS sole discretion. However, Rovial SAS is encouraging to check the Privacy Policy frequently for any posted changes.
